Spiritually, You Are Not Alone
Do you know how precious life is? Do you realize the wonder of living each day? Are you aware that there are no guarantees in life, no promises of tomorrow? Are you a free, creative human being or are you a dead entity, insensitive and unaware of the world in and around you? Like so many of us, why do we go our whole lives inattentive to everything? Is it because we are never serious about anything in life? Our education and upbringing has failed us all, has it not? The institutions from the scholastic to the religious have left us in a state that is rather futile and utterly lost. No wonder this world is full of injustice, inequality, and inhumanity. Please do see the truth of this for yourself so that you may understand the full implication of this dark world, completely.
We as human beings are full of sorrow. We are hurt and because we are hurting, we continue to hurt others. Without sensitivity, how can we ever love? There is no love in us at all. To talk about love and the necessity of love is total nonsense. It is nothing more than the continuity of our lack of love that moves us and maintains this cruel world as it is. To see the way we are living is truly appalling and disturbing. We are all consumed by prejudices, cruelties and hatred. Where is the love in all this? Love is only an idea formed of our desires to continue in our anger and abhorrence. Can the world ever be healed of all these ills? Is there a cure that is not a continuity of the same thing in a different form of reformation? All the schools of thought are spellbound in this wiping away the tribulations of the world by simply escaping from the problem all together, so we think. As long as we are not free, we can never look clearly at a problem and solve it, holistically. Out of habit, out of ignorance, we are all doing the same old thing, escaping from the problem in various means that lead nowhere at all. Besides, I must look within myself for the answer. The fundamental questions of life must have an answer not because I say so but because there is so. Can we simply look at the problem of life without desiring our own projections of solving the problem?
Spirituality is a journey within ones life.
You know it is very easy to deceive ourselves. We have a tendency of seeing what we want to see even when the facts are right there in front of us. Is there really an answer to this thing called life? Without asking ourselves the deep questions, we will always live shallow lives. To probe deep within oneself, to see things as they really are is an arduous journey that is outside the playing field of knowledge. It is to find out what is life, which is to see life 'as is.' In this seeing, there is freedom. The freedom to transcend this world, this very existence is a movement of intelligence. Not to escape, but actually see it for what it is. In the art of seeing clearly, you discover you are not alone. In this discovery, you see that you are nothing. Because you are nothing, you are all things. The art of knowing oneself begins in the understanding of our whole life. How we feel, think and see life through ones own understanding, not according to any belief, philosophy or ideology. The journey within begins when we are free and unchained to look into life simply and directly without division between life and ourselves. To see with such vigilance is the essence of meditation. In this, there is beauty and love unadulterated by the pursuit and division of desire. In this, there is no fear. There is no ‘self’ to pollute ones perception.
Spiritual pointing is to see the limitations of this life.
In essence, there is the awakening of wisdom beyond the captivity of knowledge and its corruption. It is through the silence of wisdom that transcends the boundaries of our lives in which there are no words to describe it. It is like a silent impression that one tries to put into words, make it legible for others. It is here where all communication is lost between 'you' and that 'essence.' That which awakens within is silence and any attempt to put words to it is rather futile. The only purpose of pointing this out to another is the intent that you will go beyond the definitive words and move into that silence without effort. Any movement on your part is an escape from it. You cannot enter this realm through any means. It is holy ground. You must come alone, empty and quietly without the ‘self’ and its movements. Completely alone one discovers this eternal presence which is devoid of darkness. It is the absolute purity of life. In fact, it is pure essence. This silence within is the absolute real. This voiceless voice is like a beautiful love song playing endlessly without words. In this, one rejoices in such immeasurable joy.
