Spirituality Beyond Words

I am going to go into something with you that is considered mysterious or mystical to most of us.  Now, as a human being, living in this world, can we ever have an understanding that is not of our imagination, desires and fears.  In the attempt to understand or live a life that is not of materialism and corruption, how does one actually go about doing such a thing?  Within the darkness of this world, can one actually discover something that is not of darkness?  After all, darkness is all we know.  We all speak of God, Ascended Masters, the Holy Ghost and spiritual gifts, but do we actually know anything about such things.  That is why we speak so freely of them.  All that you think you know is mere hearsay, unfounded words of others.  You repeat the things that you have heard and the things you have been told by those who know nothing for themselves.  You do not have any self-knowledge.  Without self-knowledge, there is no actual understanding of anything.  All that you think you have experienced and know is only projection and escape.  As long as you are full of yourself, you will never have such understanding of what it means to live a spiritual life.  It is your longing desires to have it, that it evades you.  If you are truly honest with yourself, you will notice that your desire to live a so-called spiritual life is one thing and your day-to-day life is another.  Each day you struggle to bridge that gap between what you are and what you want to be.  Your life is full of materialism but you want to be spiritual.  Your desire for a spiritual life of righteousness is a contradiction of the facts of your daily life.  Do you not see the denial?  For me to tell you this has very little meaning, it is for you to understand.

Spirituality is the end of the self within man.

Briefly, I am going to speak of spirituality, which I really doubt can be conveyed with words.  So, please understand that my attempt to point this out to you may be in vain.  You see, words are very shallow instruments when it comes to describing something that is not a thing.  Spirituality, cannot be formulated, conceptualized or grasped by the intellect and the ego.  Which means you must be attentive and go beyond the use of words and their meaning.  So many of us long to remain in darkness and simultaneously desire to know what and if there is anything beyond the darkness of this world.  In order to see clearly, your whole being must be completely open and free of all things.  There has to be a total negation of what is accepted as spiritual this and spiritual that, a complete purging of all that you know and believe.  All that you know and think must end.  Without understanding the significance of death in ones life, in each moment, you can never know what it means to be spiritual.  It is to be free of the whole idea of there being a 'self' within you that was born, lives and then dies when the body dies.  It is to be free of the belief that you have a spirit or soul that lives on after the body dies.  All this is hearsay, forged from the fire of fear and desire.  This formulated 'self' must realize its falsehood and die of its own accord when it sees it is not an actuality.  In the seeing of this clearly and actually, the death of the 'self' takes place.  To die to the idea of 'self' is an actual process of ending ones ego, completely.  The dissolution of 'self,' which is your own selfish will and desires, is the hallway to spiritual being, that transcends duality and individualism.  Perhaps, there never was a 'self.'  Have you ever inquired into such a thing?  That which I am saying is not a concept for you to grasp and then apply to your life.  It is a realization that is untaught through the power of self-knowing.  This is the art of understanding life, which brings clarity and insight.

Spirituality transcends the limitations of mind.

Now, if you are at all serious, then I may go further into this.  For most of us, the word spiritual means various things depending on your upbringing, background and conditioning.  For the moment, we are going to drop all that you know, utterly.  Now, with me, it is very clear that knowledge and the accumulation of knowledge are not of the spiritual.  The 'self' is a construct of knowledge and therefore can never know what is spiritual.  If you have been listening and observing this for yourself you will clearly see the full meaning of this.  Nothing spiritual can be grasped by the 'self,' which is knowledge bound.  When the ignorance of the 'self' is vanquished, there is no need for another human being to tell you anything spiritually.  You are now in a state of learning.  You are now aware and fully attentive to all things in and around you.

Because there is no 'self' in you, there is only that awareness that is without form, without a background or point of reference.  There is pure watchfulness and silence.  In this stillness, all things are one without division.  It is complete relationship of all things, living and nonliving.  To be spiritual is to be nobody at all, nothing special.  You are completely free and unbound by the limitations of this life.  It is here and now you may see beyond the veil of oneself.  In the very heart of seeing this, there is love that transcends all understanding.  The Unbegotten, the essence of love that is nameless is open to you and that is all.
