              Spiritual Understanding Beyond The Known

Question:  You said it does not have any meaning for me to work on myself.  However, because we are so accustomed to living life with the self, I must educate myself to the truth of life, is that right?

Adonis:  It is to realize there is nothing for you to do as far as conscious effort.  When you see through the facade of the self, the false comes crumbling down.  The full essence of perception acts in the dissolution of the self that is the centralized cause of all our problems.  A man free of him self has no problems at all.

Question:  So, by reading and studying the Sayings, spending time with my thoughts, having dialogue with you, are these sufficient tools for spiritual awakening or do I have to find any other means?

Adonis:  It is realization; an uncovering of all that is false.  Let me make it clear, there is nothing for you to do.  When the intelligence of perception observes the false as a falsity, it all drops away.  How can anything false continue once you see through its falsities?  It is simply seeing the facts of life and discovering that the great treasure that you seek is already there.  You must uncover this fact by looking within yourself.  That is all.

Question:  Why is the action of thought indirect?

Adonis:  The wholeness of perception is total action in the here and now.  While thought always acts in time, after the fact.  Direct perception acts instantaneously because it is whole and only acts holistically.  The action of thought is indirect because you must first check your memory and then you act.  Thought is actually blind to the fact of the present moment and so its actions are a movement of ignorance, farce and obscurity.

Question:  Are you saying that we are so lost in our thoughts that we do not allow the real essence of life to flow?

Adonis:  Out of habit, we are utilizing thought, way out of context.  Use it when needed and not use it when it is not needed is all we are saying.  To live ones life in complete order and harmony is to function out of the fullness of perception, which guides your life, spontaneously.

Question:  I am so happy and delighted to have really found the real man that you are and not the man that I thought you to be. You are so right regarding the self.  Its true one side wants to remain and enjoy the things of the physical and the other half want to let go and see beyond the physical.  You mentioned the other day that the moment we think and open our mouth the thinker gets in the way in which we are no longer living effortlessly.

Adonis:  Not one side, it is all the self playing the whole game.  In actuality, it does not want the Truth, because death of the self heralds the awakening.

Question:  My question to you is once we are in the state of perception; as long as the thinker does not speak or interfere then the connection is still in full swing, right?

Adonis:  It is a completely new realm that is impossible for the self to speculate.  It wants to keep talking about it instead of dying into the unknown, that way it can continue.  Through continuity, it can live in the lie of its own illusion.  The self can never be; it is trapped in becoming, moving from one thing to another.  Because it is ensnared in the realm of time, it is constantly changing, never all there.

Question:  I would also say that the more awareness and consciousness we acquire the more this childlike feeling comes into play.  Only because we are able to express ourselves freely without any limitations.  That is the beauty of all this clarification.  The only difference is that you have mastered the art of being in full contact, where as I am still learning.

Adonis:  Why do you use the word 'more?'  You are either aware or not. You are attentive or inattentive, never both.   There is either the fullness of perception or the lack there of.  There is no grey area.  Attentiveness and inattentiveness can never meet.  One is when the other is not.  Perception is not a feeling.  It means to feel, to see, to live in the process of understanding without conclusiveness, eternally flowing.
