Spirituality Beyond Tomorrow

As long as you have the interest of a meaningful life of tomorrow, realize the life you are living now is utterly destructive and meaningless, today.  In fact, tomorrow may never come.  What you do now creates your tomorrow.  Simply look at your life with great lucidity.  Do you not see the darkness of existence you are living in?  To postpone your understanding of yourself has no meaning.  To brush aside that which needs attention now, is procrastination and the lure of continuity.  The intention to put your life in order tomorrow is the continuity of disorder today.  It is this disorder which we live our lives each day that is destroying us all now.  Is this the world you wish to leave behind for your children?  If you will not change for yourself then surely you will not change for them.  To talk endlessly about change, peace and the good of humanity is most absurd.  To look at your life, the actual way you are living now, speaks a different story.  This is our life story of contradiction and denial.  There is no peace in our personal lives and yet we speak of world peace.  There is no passion in our hearts and yet we speak of being compassionate to others.  We are full of words and not compassion when it comes to our neighbors, to our friends and our so-called enemies.  The hatred, jealousy and ignorance continue because we do not understand ourselves.  We do not look at our lives with transparency.  We do not see ourselves, only images of what we desire to be or not be.  How can you change something you do not know?  Do you know yourself’?  Do you know what it means to know oneself?  You may think you know yourself, but what you think, may not be the truth.  Look at your life, it says otherwise.  The truth of our lives, are covered and clouded by the false projections of what we want and what we do not want.  Our focus is lost in the guise of what we wish to become, and so, what we are is unknown to us.  Then we speak with such arrogance of having God in our lives.  Please do see this for yourself.  Only then will there be the likelihood of you being free of all such contradictions.

Spiritual development transcends the future.

Without self-knowledge, there is no actual understanding of anything.  Without knowing oneself, there is no awakening.  As long as we are wearing a veil in the ignorance of ourselves, darkness reigns.  There is no future for humanity, only the continuity of yesterday.  For we live in the hope of changing tomorrow.  We live in the dream of becoming immortal beings in another life or in heaven if that is what one believes.  With the idea of life after death, no wonder we live our lives horribly, today.  You think there is a tomorrow.  Perhaps, there is no tomorrow for you to live, righteously.  Tomorrow might be too late.  With the state of the world as it is, surely you can realize the importance of creating a completely new world, today.  If man destroys the world, what becomes of man?  Surely, a world in which we may all live in harmony and not in conflict with each other is a necessity that we all can understand.  For centuries we have used every excuse there is to avoid changing.  Is it possible to change or is that only a projection of escape?  After all, we are rather use to repeating the things of the past.  Through imitation, is there freedom from the yesterdays of humanity?  Is the answer to our present crisis found in tradition?  Many of the so-called religious individuals of the past spoke vehemently about looking within oneself for the answer of life.  Have you looked within yourself?  Do you know what it means to look within oneself?  It is to see yourself clearly from moment to moment without the desire, fear or intent of varying what you see and feel.  In the power of clear seeing, there is the dissolution of oneself, which is the ending of you.  This is an inward death, without effort.  It is up to you to realize that the spiritual kingdom of eternal glory is now, when you simply look within, which includes the whole universe and all that it contains.  In this moment, the search for truth ends, when you dissolve the ego through the totality of awareness.  In this, there is no tomorrow.  There is nothing for you to hope for, believe in or fear.  The curtain of life is now open and the tragedy of mere existence transforms through spiritual transcendence.  In this, the abundance and tranquility of life is just there and tomorrow is not.
