Spirituality And The Ego Of Man

Question:  Can you help me with shyness?  Why am I shy?

Adonis:  Perhaps you had a parent who was overly critical and judgmental of you and that gave you a complex.  In such an environment full of measuring, one thinks all others are measuring and judging you.  So ones social development was crippled.  Ones self-image was belittled which prevented confidence, esteem and self-worth.  In such cases where you feel shy or bashful, can you just do it anyway, throwing caution to the wind?  Then you will gain experience and confidence.  You must learn to see the shyness.  Observe it with all of your heart.  Watch it arise with every fiber of your being.  See and feel what is taking place as the shyness manifests.  Listen to the thoughts and the emotions of it, deeply.  The secret is to observe your thoughts as they arise from moment to moment and that observation without suppressing or rejecting what you see transform the problem.  It is as simple as that.  Then see what happens to the shyness.  See that there is no entity within you.  It is only debilitating thoughts in which you have accepted as truth.  Flow with such thoughts and feelings and the freedom will come of its own accord. 

Question:  Why are we as human beings so full of pain and confusion?

Adonis:  Because we are isolated, we aim to join in with others.  Because we are divided within, we try to unite.  Because we are blind, we want to see.  Because we lack, we desire fulfillment.  Because we suffer, we long to escape.  Because we are hurting, we seek revenge.  Because we do not love, we wish to be loved.  Because we are bored and lonely, we seek all kinds of pleasure.

When there is the self as mind, there is the world of division and disharmony.  When there is the non-self as no-mind, there is oneness in seeing life in harmony.  When there is neither mind nor no-mind, there is nothingness.  In the nothingness there is the absolute, the nameless, the eternal.

Within this silent mind,

My heart soars and unwinds.

Beyond my still gazing eyes,

Higher than the darken skies,

This brilliant fullness shines,

In tranquil, peaceful designs.

What words can describe,

This glorious sight deep inside?

Without invitation, the source of all things awakens in you and it is then that you will understand what enlightenment is.  It is that essence of being, which cannot be told to another human being.  Only you can awaken to the source of all things.
