Spiritual Inquiry Beyond World Religion

Question:  Why do Christians and Muslims think they own the truth?

Adonis:  You know the other day I was talking to a young man and I told him that to look within oneself for the truth is the ultimate.  He said his belief in Christ was the only way.  So I asked him did he find the Truth.  Of course not, so how do you know it is the way.  You see, we are so full of other people's words.  The Christians with their deep arrogance and certainty that Jesus Christ is the only way is rather absurd.  So I told him that what I did was went around all the religions and directly into the Goal of all life.  He said no, I can't do that because his religion says it can’t be done.  How pathetic we are as human beings.  I tell him within me there is the living food of life and he only wants to give me a menu.  I have tasted the living bread beyond the heavens and have no need of a menu.  For all the religions and philosophies can only feed me words, fear and greed.  But the living food they do not know.  It's really sad how we are so trapped in such a mess for the rest of our lives.

Question:  Many years ago, I denounced being a Christian.  I thought it had no meaning.  I want to actually discover what life beyond this life is.

Adonis:  When you say you denounced Christianity, do you mean out of understanding or as a whim?  To denounce Christianity or any religion, surely you must drop them all.  All the world religions are meaningless.  Not because I say so, but because of the fact of it.  They all divide and distort man within himself and with his fellow man.  Being divided they try to unite.  To see that we are all human, there is nothing to unite.  It is our own limited beliefs and ideations that divide us.  Life is not divided; we are psychologically distorted in our perception. 

The world religion's prevents the seeing into what is real.  It is to question and discover that which is real.  As long as one belongs to any religion, you must be fake, phony and pretentious.  When one says he believes, it simply means out of ignorance he has accepted something false as the truth without realizing it. 

When you say you have looked, where did you look?  You looked within the religions, books, teachers, pastors, your own thoughts and ideas.  Without finding out what you are, there is no understanding.  The real question I am asking is; did you look within?  So, in order for us to discover the truth and not some abstraction that leads nowhere; is there an actual way to find out?  Perhaps, there was a person called the Christ or the Buddha, who knows and who actually cares.  But, perhaps there were some who actually discovered life beyond this life and those whom they tried to explain it but did not have the intuition to grasp the meaning or the understanding to go beyond words.  So, I am asking you; let’s probe into this and see for ourselves if there is something beyond the universe.  As we have gone into it, the thinker as thought, the mind as self, is limited.  (Limited because it is confined to time.)  Being limited it is obvious it can not discover that which is limitless.  That is rather obvious; is it not?  Even if one understands it only intellectually.  So, can we go beyond words and their empty definitions?  All our gods, religions and philosophies are the inventions of man. 

In life, from the start there has to be a certain freedom to look for oneself.  Because truth can not be told.  That is why we must walk together.  It doesn't do you any good for me to say I have climbed the mountain of consciousness and transcended this life and now I am going to 'tell' you.  If anyone tells you that, they are truly lost.  Truth can not be told from my lips to your ears.  The realization of the truth is a revelation within you; beyond any speculations.  It is a seeing for oneself.  Because you see it for yourself, no one and no happening in life can take that away from you.  So in order for you to SEE, you must question, probe deeply.  The wise have questions while the ignorant marvel at their petty little beliefs.  To move within this, start simple.  If there is anything you do not see within yourself drop it.  It’s irrelevant.  Spiritually, it has no meaning for you unless you see it for yourself.
