Spiritual Gift of Life
Have you ever wondered what it actually means to live a sacred life? This sacredness, which awakens the fullness of understanding, is a revelation for the solitary purpose of pointing towards itself. This sacred essence within awaits us all. As long as we live in the ignorance of knowledge and fear, that sacredness cannot come. All we can do is be receptive, clear and open. To be completely open for that glory to enter our very being is the doorway to the unknown. This revelation is for all of humanity, to be a receptacle for the glory of the truth.
It is up to each of us to be a student of life. To live our lives complete and free of the ensnaring enclosure of the self and its endless lure of gratification and hurt. To understand oneself is to learn what brings freedom and what draws us into bondage. To be free is the only way to live in the richness of life. Only in freedom is there love and its flowering beauty. Actually, it is love that has the power to create a beautiful world for all of us to live on this wondrous earth. Not the love born of the idea in which fear and pleasure formulates and imagines. Love is not the opposite of anything in which the mind can carve and dictate its movement, which strangles the marvel of life.
Within the essence of love, 'all is.' Moreover, within the very foundation of love, there is nothing and no one excluded. Love is free of all forms and conditions. This unconditional essence cannot be touched by the impermanency of the divided self. As long as the self is operating and consuming ones whole heart, know that there is no love within you, irrespectively of what you believe, think or feel.
Without the total vacancy within the temple of ones being, love is not. The self and its occupancy, is the breeding ground of suffering and sorrow. It is the darkness of the self that corrodes the heart of all humanity. Only in understanding ourselves is there freedom and the awakening of compassion.
To know oneself, has been reverberated throughout the ages. It is vital that each of us as human beings look and learn every intricate aspect of oneself. It is only through the total observation; the complete perception of seeing oneself is there the possibility of being free, detached and untouched by this atrocious world we live in. It is oneself that has created this world of obscurity. Without complete discontentment of this life, can one find the way out? Not to escape the tragedy of this existence but an actual seeing through it all. To see actually with great clarity, the state of this world and all that it consists of, indisputably we would change. To bring a change born of clarity is the only way to transform our life and therefore the world.
So I ask, does escaping life through various means, which is born out of not seeing clearly, bring freedom? In my attempt to be free, I remain sentenced and condemned to darkness and gloom. The desire to be free is bondage and the continuity of sorrow. My desire to be detached is also a burden. Can we, as human beings actually be free? Can we actually be completely free of sorrow and darkness? Not some idea of freedom, fantasia, delusion or flight of fancy. Only in the fact of being in freedom, am I free.
Without understanding ourselves, we will never know what it truly means to be free. In freedom, the self is not. After all, ones self, the very seeker that desires to be free is the prison, bound by its own impression of impermanency. When at once the self is seen in the light of wisdom as a falsity, there is freedom. In addition, to be free is the ultimate goal of life for all of us. Only then will you truly understand what love is. Then you are the embodiment of love, not someone trying to love. I am love, when the illusion of self is not. It is to live in that realization of love and compassion, which has the power of transforming our life and the whole world, beyond ignorance and hate.
