The Open Door Of Spiritual Fulfillment
When we truly search for life beyond the known, it is as if the sacred is searching for us. It is like that sacredness, travels the highways and byways of this distorted life to express itself. However, all are busy and preoccupied with innumerable things. Being occupied that sacred essence, cannot come to us. We are all occupied, full of ourselves, full of darkness. We have chosen to be of this world of obscurity. Not that one can search for that, but the fact that the search is false must be realized for oneself. For lack of getting out of the world, we have chosen the false and shut the door to the real.
Your desire to seek the truth creates the seeker, which is self-formulated. Therefore, if there is a seeker formed in you, know that you have rendered yourself blind and established your own demise. To seek the truth is an absurdity that must be realized when you see for yourself, not another telling you. Truth cannot be told from my lips to your ears. To see that fact of this is paramount and truly vital to understanding oneself.
It is for each of us, as human beings, to see that ones self can never come upon the unknown. The seeker must see that it is the sought. For that which the self seeks is always within the known. Therefore, to step out of the known, the self must end of its own accord when it discovers its own fallacy. The self being trapped in space-time and continuity, can never enter the unknown. In ones search, the seeker is to realize that it is like a dog chasing its own tail. For that which it seeks, is its own self and not the truth. You cannot search for the truth. 'What is God,' cannot be found by the self. Does this mean we are doomed? No, you must realize a whole other way of looking at the problem, which is to have no way and no path. The approach must be attacked from a completely new angle all together of no approach at all. All you can do is recede; not in defeat but in understanding. It is clarity and humility in which the grace of the sacred essence enters.
Now, when the wise hear these words, 'I do not know,' they become exceedingly glad when there is that fullness of understanding the limitation of knowledge. When those who are lost hear these words, 'I do not know,' they become so deeply sad, because they do not understand that it is the turning point within which points the way of nothingness.
Look, all ones life you have been looking the wrong way, this anonymous silent voice comes along and says, listen you are using the wrong instrument to discover truth, that is all. Now the cleverness of the self is standing in the way saying, 'I want to discover the truth.' So this silent man is saying to you now, it is a falsity. The self, which is ignorance, is the very culprit that prevents the intelligence from entering the temple of your being. However, it is for you to see the truth of this for yourself. This is so beautiful to see and discover if you are willing to look and listen.
Like a true scientist, you must be willing to look and not expect to see what you desire to see. You must simply look without desiring a particular result. Please follow along as I point this out to you without getting lost in the analogy. It is like this, let us say you wanted to see a distant star and all your life you were using a microscope. Now, this gentle man comes along and says; you are using the wrong instrument to see the farthest, brightest star. Do not concern yourself of the man but what it is he is saying. Discover for yourself rather or not what he is saying is true. He says you may use the microscope to see microscopic things but to see the farthest, brightest star; you are using the microscope in error, out of habit and ignorance. Therefore, this quiet voice says, you must use the telescope, which is the wholeness of perception to see the brightest star, not the microscope of the self and its limitations. Now, if you should look, surely you will find.
