The Spiritual End of Man
It is New Years Eve and another year waits. This is a great day to let everything go, completely. All the past hurts, fears and sorrows of yesterday’s history. It is a great time to just forget and forgive all wrongs. Let nothing tether your mind and heart. To be like water, that is the secret of changing with life. Flow with life, just as it is, without the fear of change. Learn the art of changing with change. It is holistic living, which means to be in a state of learning.
All the religions of the world are based on the fear of change. These so-called religions gave up on all of humanity. Thus, they formed beliefs and faiths to occupy the mind of man and his fear of change. Gave him a toy in the name of religion to play with in order to escape the sorrows of life. In so doing, one never finds the truth for oneself. Realize all the religions of the world are useless to those who are truly serious about finding God for themselves. They are completely without meaning, not because I say so but because they are so. Simply look at the state of this whole world and that fact speaks for itself. Because of fear, which is all they have to offer, you do not want to let them go even though they have never delivered on their promises. You have let the religions of the world escape their fate by their promise of life after death. If not in this life, you find the truth then perhaps in the next life or the afterlife. How ignorant and clever.
Spiritually, within me there is living, eternal water. Yet, I see the whole world famished, with a great thirst to be free. Out of ignorance, sorrow continues in the darkness of this world. You will never discover the truth without going beyond all the religions and their faith selling. You must transcend it all. This life of unreality is the puzzle that you must solve by seeing life ‘as is.’ The real lives in you when the unreal dies in your consciousness. This is the only revelation. Only through clear seeing is there the seeing of existence. To see life clearly awakens the transformation of life. It is the art of letting life unfold all by itself without your distorted interference. No controlling or directing what one sees. It is the way of no way. No desire of becoming anything other than what you actually are. It is the art of seeing yourself just as you are. See that there is nothing to be acquired, only an illusion to see through. This seeing that I am referencing, without subject or object is the pure seeing. This image of oneself is the shadow of reality. It is a false representation of who you really are. With an image, we feel separate from others. However, we never ask is the image real? This takes great insight to penetrate. Telling another that this image is not real is a paradox, without an explanation. No casual means of the intellect or the movement of knowledge can grasp this. A total and intense honesty in facing oneself is the only answer. Without the understanding of oneself, there is no wisdom. The world turns and continues to burn because you never learn the truth of yourself. Yet, we say we want to know God.
Spirituality is the ending of the self.
It is for you to realize, the 'self' comes into being in the absence of joy, happiness and love. This ego is the darkness that clouds our possibility of happiness. It is this sense of separation within us that causes so much turmoil in the world and it is love, which has the power to vanquish the ego. This love is beyond the world’s idea and concept of love. The love of this world is of pleasure and the movement of desire and fear. The love I am speaking of is none of these things. The love I feel in me is not a feeling, emotion or desire. It has no cause. This love is the light beyond this world. Moreover, it is up to you to see it for yourself. I cannot give this illumination to another. No one can give you this. I can lead you to the door of compassion but you must enter on your own through self-knowing. Only in reflection and meditation, is there the art of understanding oneself. You will never know what meditation is. The self can never know. What you imagine as meditation without seeing it for yourself is not meditation. You cannot stand on the outside and believe what others tell you. Spiritual meditation is not a thing of the mind. It is the fullness of awareness and attentiveness without the desire of changing what one see or experience. You must understand meditation for yourself, which is holistic action born out of the totality of perception and the awakening of silence. In spiritual meditation, the end of man is awakening within you.
