The End of All Things
One of the most interesting quests one can ever traverse is to travel within oneself, which includes the outer. To understand and know oneself, it is important that you understand what internal time is. Of course, we all understand external time. That is rather simple. Time expressed by the watch or clock is external. From one point to the next represents time as distance, measurement. Time is measurement, is it not? What I am interested in, is to understand what internal time is so I can understand the working of my mind. First, is there such a thing as internal time, mentally? Have you ever pondered on such a question? Please, do not assume that I am giving you a lesson in basic physics or philosophy. I am only expounding the facts. That is my intention. Right now, it is important for you to go into the fact of thought being of internal time. Thought is time as the past. This means, there is no such thing as a new thought. That is rather simple to understand, is it not? Every thought is of the past and internal time, which is the recording of yesterdays’ actions and reactions as knowledge. Can we end this movement of internal time and knowledge, which prevents the clarity of perception? Do you see this for yourself? On the other hand, do you ask that I explain it further? Please, you must go into this for yourself. Seeing life clearly for yourself is a movement of wisdom. Not seeing according to the so-called Zen or Shaolin Masters, but just the art of seeing and discovering the truth of life of your own initiative. A finding out for oneself is the only true art of discovery.
Tonight there is a beautiful full moon and the total watching of it is spectacular. There is no 'me' observing the full moon and there is no space, no partition between the full moon and my perception of it. Ones whole head seems filled with the great sight of this glorious golden moon. My body is very still and my breathing is calm and shallow. The mind is quiet without a single movement of thought. Truly, this is without the internal time of the 'self.' If the 'me' were looking at the moon, it would be in the field of internal time. The 'me' and the 'moon' are two things. This would be distance and therefore time. If the 'me' were looking at the moon, could it actually 'see' the moon or would it see its own cloudiness and the image one has of the moon, which is not the seeing of the moon. Please, do look into this for yourself and your life will be filled with many wonders of nature. Why do we go through our whole lives without experiencing the beauty of the earth and the open skies? Have you ever watched a child playing and laughing or a kitten rolling in the grass? It is a remarkable sight, if you are very quiet.
Spiritual divinity is true being of all mankind.
As long as you go through life without clarity, you will have no idea of what you are missing. The secret is to learn how to listen and observe. By listening and observing the whole working of your mentality, you purge all thoughts from the face of the mind. Then you learn the art of being completely quiet. Do you see the meaning in all this? No one can teach you how to be silent. There is nothing for you to follow or imitate, which is what we are all hoping and desiring. Only in the power of listening is there freedom within. It is only through this silence; one comes to discover the truth of this life, without effort. Be silent and all will be revealed to you. Then you will see there is nothing for any one to teach you and life becomes a great challenge to actually live and not just exist. In understanding this, you will realize you are your own master. Then perhaps you can go much further and find out if there is such a thing as God, as the Eternal. You see, the ultimate truth is without time as knowledge. When you are free, truth may come to you, plain and simple. Now, as you may see, it is quiet clear that the mind must be free of the restraints and chains of thought and its constant movement. Now that we have walked into this, intelligently, do you see the beauty of understanding this? First, one starts at the surface of the mind and then penetrates beyond the depths of the idea of mind. That is why it is important to start from the beginning. In order to discover that which is beyond the field of time, you must first end all time within you. Then one can delve deeper without the movement of time and discover that which is the beginning and end of all things. It is here and now the Spiritual Divine may come and awaken the joy of life within you.
