spirituality and the sacred life
Have you ever wondered is there something beyond this life? Perhaps, if you are at all concerned we can go into actually finding out. To find, surely we must be willing to look. For most us, I doubt if we will ever find what we are searching for because we simply refuse to look. I come and say to you, 'empty your cup so that it may be filled.' However, you cannot let go of your past. Why do you refuse to let go of all your old ideas, experiences and knowledge? Truth is not an experience or knowledge that you can hoard or brood over. You cling to all that you know and think in terms of coming to the real gradually in time, in evolution and in progress. Truth is not found in time. You may have escaped the ignorance of orthodoxy but now you are trapped in the unorthodox. What good is that? You are either free of all imprisonments or you are not. Freedom is the only acceptable fundamental nature of mankind.
Your beliefs, ideas and experiences will never lead you to the Unknown. As long as you refuse to let go of all and everything that you know, know that it is your own demise. The Unknown is beyond all knowledge, experiences and beliefs. As long as you are anxiously anticipating anything to be gained you will miss the secret of life. You want to capture and hold on to the truth as if it is a thing to be gathered and garnished. I come to you saying, 'you are going the wrong way,' but you refuse to listen. I come so that you may actually see for yourself and not believe, but instead you want to escape in illusions.
I am aware of all the tricks of the self and its desires. Ones' self wants to leap into another reformatory, another dark corner of its own making, so that you may continue. If you are at all watchful and attentive, you will begin to notice that as soon as I press you deeper you immediately try to evade and escape into various excuses of self-protection. The refusal to step out is the desire for another prison of existence to leap into and stagnate. That is what we are all hoping to find but in the Sayings, none will be given.
Spirituality And The End Of All Desires
Spiritually, it is for each of us to realize that all things must come to an end. Nevertheless, as human beings we refuse to let go of all that we possess. Inwardly, we are weighed down by the limitations of all the things that we possess. Our refusal to let go is drowning us in sorrow. We are tortured by the shadows of our own ignorance, refusing to surrender and see things as they truly are. We hold on to the shadows of life never discovering the real, the genuine essence of life. So I ask you what can I do when you won't let me in. I knock at the door of your life but there is no answer. I pierce through the window of your heart so you may remove the bleakness and desolation that clouds the truth. However, it is up to you to see this for yourself, so that you may be free.
Within me, there is a living essence that burns you completely until there is nothing left of you, no ashes, no smoke, nothing. When you are no more, then you discover the fire of eternity that is ones true being. In this freedom there is nothing you will long for. It is the fulfillment beyond all sorrow. This realization is the most sacred of all.
