spiritual realization

You know the strangest thing is, when some people read or listen to the Sayings, they may think, they do not understand.  The thing is, I understand they may not get it.  Like the old saying goes, if it was that easy, every enlightened man would simply tell his brother.  The discovery of Truth is not an understanding to be planted in the mind.  You see, the truth is, your conscious self, the intellect, does not have a clue to what I am referencing.  In fact, you will never know.  In the seeing that you do not know, that alone brings about a transformation.

Perhaps, if you are diligent and ponder into yourself, the Sayings may trigger a certain penetration into your life.  Even though the self can never grasp where the Sayings are pointing to, and yet out of ignorance, it continues to stand there trying to grasp something beyond its reach.  That which I am speaking of, is beyond you, and the limited realm of knowledge and continuity.  However, irrespectively of what I say, it tries any way.  That is the dog chasing its tail and the game we play when it comes to the negation of the self.  Endlessly, the self is trapped in the game of fear, illusion and imagination.  Spiritual awakening is simply the art of cessation. It is to End the continuous cycle of the illusion of birth and death.  In this realization, one simply dismounts from the wheels of illusion by discovering the divisive appearance of life is not the real.

When an old associate came to see me the other day she says, You know, twelve years ago when you were talking to me about spirituality, I thought you were completely lost, it didn’t make sense to me.  Then you said leave it alone; do not try to grasp it.  Now, years later it is beginning to unfold, right before my eyes.  I do not understand it fully, only intellectually, but I do understand the significance and truth of what you are saying.

Now what I am showing you is, although you feel you do not understand me, just realize that fact.  The fact, that you do not get it is the key.  What is preventing the understanding is your desire to understand.  The desire and effort of wanting to move away from the lack of understanding is the blockage, the very impasse.  You see, if you move even one step in any direction to seek the Truth, you have already lost the way.  Where are you going?  Wherever you go, it is always in the realm of the known, not the unknown realm of the real.  To understand this is to see clearly that you cannot enter the unknown, you are an entity of the known.  Forget about all this enlightenment nonsense.  To you, enlightenment is only an idea, a projected utopian dream conceived and carved by your fears and desires to escape the tragedies of your everyday life.

Truth is here and now.  The realization is in being, not in becoming.  Being is without time, becoming is forever time-bound.  Becoming is the gap formulated from where you are to where you want to be, which is non-factual.  When you realize clearly, you do not know, that is a fact, which is being.  Becoming is your desire to know, which is non-factual and unreal. The fact is, you do not know, in the complete seeing of the fact of not knowing, that state of being undergoes a complete transformation.

Look, what I had to discover for myself was that I am the problem.  It was necessary for ‘me’ to get out of the way.  One day, I was watching television.  There was this show on of a sleight-of-hands magician.  He was really good.  He could make it seem like he was making things materialize out of thin air.  Of course, I thought it was all camera tricks but it was not at all.  The trick of the magician was, we are not paying attention.  Now what happened was the next night it was a continued show. Therefore, this time when I was watching it something strange happened. This time I was attentive and completely alert.  I could see everything he was doing!  Yet, the audience was deeply amazed even though I could see him pulling everything from under the table in plain sight!  There is no outward trick; it is you.  The problem lies in the interior of our being.  Our mind continues to see what it is accustomed to seeing according to its conditioning and programming.  Therefore, out of habit it cannot see what it does not expect to see.  The seeing that I have discovered is holistic. However, when we are inattentive, we are psychologically blind!  Moreover, the way out is the realization of seeing life as is, without the distortion of perception.  In the fullness of perception, all is.  The totality of life is revealed and one discovers the door that leads to the timeless essence that brings complete order and clarity to our lives.  It is in the purity of perception that you will discover your true nature.
